My first visit to the mountain was last year, during the hiking season where the  picturesque snow-capped was gone.

Ever find yourself thinking to pack it all up and move away?  Which city would you choose?  For me, it’s Amsterdam.  Let’s forget about the euro to the US dollar ratio and real estate prices… I would love to live there no matter what.  Check out more photos at my flickr page:

Writers are no strangers to stress. Many of us work full-time day jobs and write, or we balance a family and write, or we balance a family, a day job, and school, and write. There is just so much to keep up with, and few of us are blessed enough to have a secret lab with a death ray that will vaporize intruders….though I’m still saving.

New York, it’s a hell of a town. This was my second visit to the city that never sleeps, but my first time seeing so much of it. A few photographer friends and I spent a long weekend exploring, taking pictures and of course eating. New York is a fun city but one visit every few years is plenty for me.

“You cannot discover new oceans unless you have the courage to lose sight of shore.”

- Admiral Rickover

As I was gearing up to graduate from business school, one of my professors, Joel Peterson, challenged us to think differently by flashing the quote above in one of our last lectures.

Embracing this concept, I turned down an offer to go back to my previous employer and spent the next 4 months after school, unemployed, on an unfamiliar ocean.

Start with about 3/4 inch sand.

Add just enough water to make the sand moist.

Pat down the sand level.

Add a layer of rocks. (We used shiny rocks collected at the beach)

Then a layer of dirt.

Plant small cute little plants. Succulents are my choice.

Yay!

Cheers!

Apa itu Terrarium? Terrarium adalah miniatur dari alam dengan tumbuhan atau bahkan binatang hidup didalamnya. Mirip seperti akuarium(aquarium), namun jika akuarium berisi habitat air, terrarium berisi habitat kering / darat.
